BOYS ACADEMY
MLS NEXT
U13-U19 BOYS
MLS NEXT is the premier boys’ youth development league in North
America, created by Major League Soccer. It features top-level
competition for players aged U13 to U19, bringing together elite talent from across the country.
As a member of MLS NEXT, our players compete at the highest
national standard, with direct exposure to college, professional, and U.S. national team pathways.
IFA New England competes in both tiers of MLS NEXT. All first tier teams are fully-funded.
NATIONAL ACADEMY LEAGUE
U11-U19 BOYS
IFA New England is a proud founding member of the National Academy League (NAL) - a highly competitive platform that bridges the gap between top regional play and elite national levels. The NAL serves as a proving ground for ambitious players striving to meet the intensity, pace, and standards of MLS NEXT competition.
Our NAL Boys program operates in three regions across Massachusetts: NAL Boston (West Roxbury), NAL South (Taunton), and NAL West (Western MA,) providing high-level players statewide with direct access to the national stage.
ELITE DEVELOPMENT SQUAD (EDS)
U11-U18 BOYS AND GIRLS
IFA’s EDS program is built for driven players seeking high-level competition and a true travel soccer experience.
Teams operate in Boston, North, South Shore, Central, South Coast, and West regions, competing in national tournaments, the New England EDP (USYS National League), and aiming for MYSA State Cup and Eastern Regionals.
U15+ teams travel the East Coast to attend top college showcases, giving players exposure to reach their collegiate goals.
REGIONAL TEAMS
From U8–U18, players across each IFA region can compete on Regional teams — the foundation of our developmental pathway. These teams offer a competitive and supportive environment focused on player growth, local league play, and selective tournament experiences.
Starting at U12, top-performing players may be selected to join our EDS program, which offers higher-level training, competition, and exposure opportunities.
Regional teams emphasize strong technical development, teamwork, and long-term progression — helping players build the skills and mindset to advance within the IFA system.

IFA FUTURES
U5-U8 BOYS AND GIRLS
IFA’s Futures program introduces young players to the fundamentals of soccer in a fun, player-focused environment. Led by senior coaches, each session emphasizes enjoyment, proper habits, and foundational skills that set the stage for long-term development.
Futures runs in 8-week cycles during the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons.
