Memorial Day Tournament Set For Kick-OFF
May 19th, 2026; Intercontinental Football Academy of New England (IFA) is pleased to announce a record field of more than 1000 teams will compete in the 2026 Memorial Day Cup, held across Massachusetts from May 22nd to May 25th.
The Memorial Day Cup is the largest event on IFA's calendar and a fitting close to the spring season. Younger sides open the weekend with local play on Friday before the group stage runs Saturday and Sunday, with finals on Monday.
At U17 through U19, teams compete in a showcase format that brings college recruiters to the touchline. More than 80 clubs from eight states: Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Vermont and Maine will take part.
High-profile participation from further afield comes in the shape of Hartford Athletic Youth Academy (CT), Buffalo Pro Soccer Academy (NY), FA Euro New York (NY), Nordic SC (VT) and The Football Academy (NJ), joined by a host of established local clubs including NEFC, FC Stars, and Seacoast United.
The event will take place in some of the finest facilities in the Northeast. Boys divisions will be played across MetroWest and Central Massachusetts at venues including Forekicks Marlboro, the MYSA Complex and the FC Stars Complex at Acton-Boxboro High School, while Girls divisions are hosted on the South Coast at Forekicks Taunton, the Bliss Complex in Rehoboth and Wheaton College.
The Memorial Day Cup is the larger sibling of IFA's Pre-Thanksgiving Tournament, which set its own record with 856 teams in 2025.
