IFA Connection for Rising Ravens

Franklin Pierce Women’s Soccer, led by IFA West coaches Matt Johnson and Kevon Isa, secured a spot in the NE10 Championship game, last night following a 2-1 win over Saint Michael’s College.

The IFA connection runs deep for the Ravens, who currently roster five IFA alumni: Brigid Moore (sophomore) and freshmen Aubree Usher, Gabriella Stirlacci, Katherine McArdle, and Olivia Goss. Moore (West Springfield) has enjoyed a superb second year, starting 14 of the last 15 matches and notching three assists, most recently from a corner in an impressive road victory at #15-ranked Mercy University. McArdle, of Holyoke, has added two assists in her nine appearances, setting up goals against Queens and the University of Maine–Fort Kent.

The matchup against UMFK was notable, with Goss (Manchester, CT), Stirlacci (East Longmeadow, MA), Usher (Enfield, CT), and McArdle all featuring — and all four sharing the field together for a stretch in the second half.

The combined success reflects the IFA West girls program's deep commitment to preparing its players for the collegiate landscape. “Our mission is to prepare every player not just to reach the next level, but to thrive there. We want our players to enter college with confidence,” said IFA West Girls Director Chris Whalley. “We aim to provide an environment that challenges them to think, compete, and lead so they’re ready for whatever the college game demands. It’s amazing to see such a strong IFA presence in an elite program like Franklin Pierce,” added Whalley.

FPU will be hoping to repeat last year’s NE10 Championship win in a mouth-watering matchup against Saint Anselm’s in Manchester on Sunday. The final will kick-off at 12pm.
