IFA Players to Attend USYNT Training Center

Ten members of IFA New England’s Boys Academy have been invited to attend the upcoming US Soccer Youth National Team training center in Foxborough on October 15th.

Rodrigo Machado (Pawtucket, RI), Sebastian Monak (Tolland, CT), Cole Robbins (Norton, MA), Matt Tavares (Hopedale, MA) and Saverio Zanella (Ashland, MA) of the U14 MLS Next Homegrown roster will be joined by U15s Emiliano Avila (Waltham, MA), Max Penziner (Medford, MA), Jacob Thorpe (Natick, MA), Owen Rabel (Maynard, MA) and Wesley Zaske (Quincy, MA).

U.S. Soccer Talent ID Centers (IDCs) are free, single-day player identification opportunities for top talents to train and play games under the direction of U.S. Soccer Talent Identification Managers. IDC’s are a critical element to the Federation’s Talent Identification Plan. They are designed to identify and evaluate top talents for Youth National Teams, which start at U15, while accelerating their development in a challenging environment. IDC’s are scheduled throughout the year in key regional hubs.

“We’re incredibly proud of our boys who’ve been invited to the US Youth National Team ID Center and excited to see them showcase their abilities in such a competitive environment,” said U14 and U16 MLS Next HG Head Coach Drago Kazakov. “This recognition is a testament to their dedication, consistency, and the way they represent our club on and off the field. Opportunities like this don’t happen by chance; they are earned through daily habits, humility, and a genuine love for the game,” added Kazakov.

Founded in 2021, IFA New England has quickly risen to become one of the leading player development programs in the region. As a full member of the nation's premier boys youth development league - MLS Next, IFA is uniquely positioned to develop players to compete at the highest national standard with direct exposure to college, professional, and, as these invites show, US National team pathways.

From our formation, we have continually strived to provide the most complete environment for talented players to grow their game and achieve their goals,” said IFA New England General Manager and U15 MLS Next HG Coach, Matt Hardiman. “To have ten players selected to attend this event is another important milestone and provides further evidence to all our hard-working and knowledgeable staff of the continued progress we are making as a club,” said Hardiman.
