Record Teams for IFA Pre-Thanksgiving Tournament

November 1st, 2025; Intercontinental Football Academy (IFA) of New England is pleased to announce a record 849 teams will participate in the upcoming Pre-Thanksgiving Tournament to be held across Massachusetts from November 21st to November 23rd.

Launched in 2021, the event has grown to be a staple of the Northeast tournament calendar, providing the perfect ending to the Fall season for younger teams and an opportunity for older teams to get back together following the high school season.

70 clubs will be competing with high-profile participation from further afield in the shape of Cedar Stars (NJ), Hartford Athletic Youth Academy (CT), New York Red Bulls (NY), Buffalo Pro Soccer Academy (NY) Nordic SC (VT) and the Football Academy (NJ). They will be joined by a host of local clubs, including NEFC, Stars of MA, Seacoast United, and Boston Bolts, to name a few.

Matches will be played across the State, with the majority of Boys games in the South Shore region and Girls in the Central Mass area. Quality of fields is of utmost importance, and the event will feature all artificial turf surfaces at some of the finest complexes in Massachusetts, including Union Point (Weymouth), Forekicks (Marlboro and Taunton), NEFC Facility (Mendon and Northboro), and Veterans Fields (Waltham).

The Pre-Thanksgiving Invitational, as the sister tournament to IFA’s Memorial Day Invitational one of the largest events of the season, which hosted over 900 teams in 2025, including the prestigious Swedish youth academy of Hammarby Fotboll.
